On Friday I was awarded the 1. prize in the category portrait in the Norwegian Picture of the Year for this picture I shot in August for VG. Assignment for The New York Times

I recently took some portraits for The New York Times to a story about Lars Mytting and our fascination for fireweood here in Norway. NRK recently had a dedicated 12-hour long program dedicated to fireood."One thing that does not divide Norway, apparently, is its love of discussing Norwegian wood. Nearly a million people, or 20 percent of the population, tuned in at some point to the program, which was shown on the state broadcaster, NRK." - The New York Times

 

The Trash Party

Olav Thon

Norwegian real estate developer Olav Thon at the the Supervisory Council at Norges Bank last week. By the way, the 89 year old Olav was listed at Forbes List of Billionaires as the 368th richest person in the world in 2008.
