Civilians trapped in Donetsk

I spent the last week in Donetsk, Eastern-Ukraine for the Norwegian daily, Aftenposten together with journalist Helene Skjeggestad. We were stuck for two days in the Ukrainian bureaucracy, so we only got to spend about 48 hours in Donetsk. When I was there in December, the situation was much more calm. Now, the shelling was quite intense on large areas across Donetsk region, making the situation for the civilians very difficult with a lot of casualties. It also made our working conditions more challenging. Here are some of the pictures and videos we made:http://vimeo.com/119058055Story in Aftenposten. https://vimeo.com/119057678Link to the story. https://vimeo.com/119057931/Link to the story. The border between Ukraine and "Donetsk People Republic" is a area under heavy shelling.Posters from the Sovjet era in a bomb shelter in Donetsk.
