Lectures

I have recently had the interesting pleasure to hold a couple of lectures. I have had a workshop about multimedia for a group of photojournalists, talked to some collage students at Fyrstikkalléen skole and some at Nordland University. I have also talked to 60 journalists about the multimediaproject I am working on.It has been very interesting to get input on my work. I look forward to do more lectures in the future. If you like to follow me on Facebook as well, i'd be happy if you "liked" my Facebook page.

Mine as a computer center?

25 km from Måløy, Norway there is an old olivine mine, the Lefdal Mine. Here a group of Norwegian entrepreneurs want to build one of the worlds largest computer center. It was difficult to take photos down there to illustrate how enormous the mine is. For those of you who have ever been in a mine knows that it is dark down there. Very, very dark. The challenge was to light the scenery as well as the people. To solve this I used the headlamps of three cars we had down there, two flashes and four lights hooked up to car batteries. A total of 9 light sources.Shot with a 5dmkII, 16-35mm at 16mm f/5,6 and a slow shutter speed at six seconds.photocrati galleryI also made a panorama. Only available for iPad/iPhone.

Fighter pilot

Last week I was sent to Bodø to photograph fighter pilot Bjørn Mannsverk. During the summer he was one of the fighter pilot Norway sent down to Libya. I recommend reading the interview with him in this weeks VG helg.Since I was not allowed to fly with him I rigged a small camera (GoPro) in the cockpit to take pictures of him.  I think it turned out cool. I also tried something called a cinemagraph where some parts of the picture are in movement. Look closely at the picture below: photocrati gallery
