It has been an intense year. From fighting in Donetsk, to a mining accident in Turkey, to flooding in Norway and to destruction in Gaza.And a lot of nice things, as well.Here are some of the pictures from 2014. 03-10858-bar 1 Local miners search for bodies and debris after Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down over Eastern Ukraine in July, killing 298 people. Now, the families have moved back to their homes - trying to find back to normality in a neighborhood in ruins. Ziad Abu Assar boils coffee with his children on a fire in the ruins of what was once a garage. Some snapshots from Kolkata in India. I spent a short week there preparing for a four-week story in another country in Asia, where I will be staying when this post will go out. The country I'm traveling to is stricktly controlled by the military and I'm traveling there on a tourist-visa. Journalists are not allowed. Exiting.

In the city of Kolkata in India more than 15 million people lives. The city is famous for their yellow taxis, the Ambassador. In 2000 it was over 30.000 taxis in the city. I tried capturing the different faces that hides behind the ambassador of Kolkata.
